MCA Stability workflow in five steps

1. Sample measurement / compilation of raw data
Measure your samples as usual using your analytical system (e.g., NIR, Raman, or other spectroscopic instruments), or create a table containing the raw data to be evaluated and save it in a supported format (e.g., *.xlsx or *.csv).
2. Data upload & preparation
Import your measurement data effortlessly into the application. Separate meta data from raw data and then assign the relevant columns for time and groups (e.g., batch number). Column names can be adjusted directly if required.
3. Data preprocessing
Select the desired data preprocessing methods, such as scaling, scatter correction (e.g., SNV or MSC), derivation, or smoothing. If required, you can limit the spectral range and immediately review the result in the preview plot.
4. Analysis & visualization
Clearly visualize changes in your samples using interactive box plots. Use Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to identify trends, differences, and clusters. Flexibly compare different time points, batches, or conditions to gain well-founded insights into sample stability.
5. Reporting & data export
Generate a meaningful analysis report as a PDF or conveniently export all results as an Excel file.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the MCA Stability application,

The Stability application is designed for the analysis of structured, tabular datasets—for example from Excel or CSV files. In particular, spectroscopic data (e.g., UV/VIS, NIR, MIR) as well as mixed laboratory and process data (e.g., pH value, density, temperature, etc.) can be analyzed. The application supports both row- and column-based formats and automatically separates metadata from raw data.

The Stability application is optimized for the efficient analysis of medium to large datasets as typically encountered in research, laboratories, and production environments; datasets ranging from several dozen to several thousand measurement points are supported, with a maximum upload size of 30 MB per file.

In addition to the patented algorithm for evaluating the stability of a chemical or physical profile, the application offers extensive data preprocessing options (scatter correction, derivatives, scaling, etc.) as well as subsequent visualization using box plots, kinetic fits, and additional evaluation of results via Principal Component Analysis.

The Stability application is suitable for beginners as well as experts thanks to its intuitive user interface—basic analytical understanding is sufficient.

The Stability application enables the identification of trends, outliers, and group differences and additionally provides statistical metrics and tables that allow a well-founded assessment of stability, process dynamics, and sample development; results can be exported for reporting or used for further analysis.

Yes, the application is designed for use in research, development, and industry alike and is suitable for laboratory, production, and field applications such as process monitoring, quality control, or academic projects, offering a flexible solution for a wide range of scientific and technical requirements.

Various license models are available, including annual and multi-year licenses; licenses are user-based and suitable for both beginners and experienced users, and individual offers can be provided on request.

Classical methods often focus on measuring and evaluating a few individual, known parameters, whereas the Stability application uses an innovative multivariate approach to assess the entire chemical fingerprint of a sample, resulting in a highly sensitive key metric that reliably answers the central question: “How stable is my sample?”
